Mª Elena Fernández Martínez

I work at the University of León as a Full Professor at the University of the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy. I teach in Psychosocial Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing of the Degree in Nursing, in the Master’s Degree in Research in Social and Health Sciences in the subject of Sociosanitary Research, Health and Quality of Life Foundations and Intervention in New Demands of Health.

My academic background is a University Diploma in Nursing, a degree in Psychology, a PhD from the University of León in the Psychology and Education Sciences program.

My research is focused on the positive aspects of health. My contribution to the SALBIS group is oriented to the variables of engagement and emotional intelligence.

I belong to the Association of Community Nursing (AEC) and the National Association of Mental Health Nursing (ANESM).
