Our colleague Elena Fernández has carried out the workshop ‘Superheroes in Science: Nursing in Action’ in the IES Lancia de León on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This year the theme chosen to celebrate 11 February is ‘Mental Health in Science’. The SALBIS Group wants to reflect on this theme, making visible the challenges faced by women working in science and promoting the mental health of this group. The workshop was organised jointly with the teachers from the Physics and Chemistry department, Dr. Mª Fe de la Torre Guerra and Raquel Gutiérrez Díez, and was attended by students in the second year of ESO who showed great curiosity about the topics discussed.
