José Alberto Benítez joins the expert panel at the UDiTE 2024 Congress in León
On November 30, 2024, José Alberto Benítez Andrades, PhD in Production and Computing Engineering and Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering and Automation at the University of León, participated as a panelist in the UDiTE 2024 Congress, held at the Instituto Leonés de Cultura in León.
José Alberto Benítez contributed to the Expert Panel titled “Key elements in a (Regional) Public Strategy on AI: Visions of the AI regulation and applications to the administrative procedure”. Alongside renowned experts such as Marcos Gómez Hidalgo, Deputy Director and CISO at INCIBE, and Javier de la Villa Regueiro, Head of Operations for the ICT Service and Information Security Manager at the Diputación de León, he discussed critical aspects of public AI strategies.
The panel explored the challenges and opportunities of implementing artificial intelligence in public administrations, addressing topics like the European AI regulation, its impact on administrative procedures, and practical applications to enhance public services.
