Invited lecture on artificial intelligence in the field of health at the IX International Conference #3esalud held in Jaén
On Wednesday, April 13, 2023, the IX International Conference #3ehealth (e-evidence, e-health, e-innovation in health and care) was held in Jaén. This conference brought together 400 registered nurses at the Illustrious Official College of Nursing in Jaén.
Four important pillars were addressed at the conference: information and communication technologies, including health communication; advanced practice nursing and specialties, care in special situations and environments, and the humanization of care, all of which are of vital importance in the field of nursing.
Researcher and member of the SALBIS group, José Alberto Benítez Andrades, was invited to the conference and presented his lecture titled “Artificial Intelligence and Health: From Prevention to the Possible Cure of Diseases”. Through this, he explained what exactly artificial intelligence (AI) is and how it can be used from a health perspective, showcasing use cases and examples of AI applied to health problems.
