SALBIS participates in the International Day for Women and Girls in Science
On February 16, 2023, Pilar Marqués presented a motivational talk to 3rd and 4th ESO students at the Espiritu Santo School in Ponferrada.
Marqués highlighted curiosity and passion as key elements to mobilize you towards research. “Asking risky, unanswerable, complex and creative questions will be the ones that will position your research successfully, and make a footprint in society.”
She also emphasized the importance of passion in overcoming barriers encountered in research. “The research career is a path where you combine your professional and personal life, therefore you will have both happy and complicated moments.” It is passion, which will allow you to move forward and enjoy what you do.
The head of the SALBIS Group invited the students to have referents in their lives, and especially to look for referents in research. Pilar Marqués, nurse, shared her first references @PazMompart @SteveBorgatti Suca Muñoz
She encouraged the girls to take the next step and to venture out with ideas that will challenge the world.
