The University of León and Asprona Bierzo reinforced their collaboration with the signing of a new agreement
The University of León (ULE) and Asprona Bierzo reinforced their collaboration with the signing of a new Framework Agreement, which took place on July 28, at the Ponferrada Campus. The event was attended by the vice-rector for Faculty of the University of León (ULE), Miguel Ángel Tesouro Díaz, and the general director of Asprona Bierzo, Valentín Barrio Díez.
In this way, the relationships that had patents in the previous agreement signed in 2003 are reinforced. Currently, this agreement is promoted by the professor and researcher of physiotherapy of the Research Group “Health, Well-being, Engineering and Social Health Sustainability – SALBIS “, Dra. María Mercedes Reguera García. The objective is to promote research on intellectual disability, balance and mobility, to facilitate the realization of projects, works, theses and scholarships that result in the improvement of the quality of life of this group.
The team of researchers made up of María Mercedes Reguera, Lorena Álvarez del Barrio, Alejandro Valera Valladares, Cintia Cubillas Alonso, Aitziber Ortega Plaza and Dr. José Antonio de Paz Fernández are resuming the research framed within the collaboration through the agreement. The research is on the evaluation of the Six-Step test in people with intellectual disabilities with Asprona Bierzo users after the unemployment derived from the COVID-19 situation.
