SALBIS participates at the BIOSTEC 2020 conference presenting a paper of Healthy and Happy application
This week, on February 24th, 25th and 26th, the “International Joint Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies” (BIOSTEC 2020) was held in Valletta, Malta. This conference is a union of 5 different congresses:
- BIODEVICES – Biomedical Electronics and Devices
- BIOIMAGING
- BIOINFORMATICS – Bioinformatics Models, Methods and Algorithms
- BIOSIGNALS – Bio-inspired Systems and Signal Processing
- HEALTHINF – Health Informatics
This congress has produced than 250 posters and oral communications which have been produced by more than 1000 researchers and presented by more than 200 researchers.
From the SALBIS group, special emphasis is placed on the multitude of investigations that were presented in which results were shown after applying automatic learning techniques, social network analysis and ontologies to different health-related problems.
The research work presented is part of the project “Acquisition of healthy routines in adolescent population with tendency to obesity, through an automated coaching platform based on social networks and Semantic Web” granted by the Ministry of Education of the Junta de Castilla y León, published in the Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Castilla y León número 106 del 4 de junio de 2018.
