Teaching Innovation Project: Learning-service for health: teaching innovation and social responsibility towards the children’s community
In the provisional resolution of the projects of the Teacher Innovation Support Plan (PAID 2018), the project entitled “Learning-service for health: teaching innovation and social responsibility towards the children’s community” has been favorably reported.
It is a learning-service project planned for the next academic year 2018-2019 and led by professors from the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy of the University of León, several of them members of the SALBIS group, in which also administration and services and students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Campus de Ponferrada.
The project foresees that students of the degrees in Nursing and Physiotherapy of the Campus of Ponferrada, within the framework of different subjects of the degree, design and put into practice various workshops of education for health and promotion of healthy life habits for schoolchildren of the city of Ponferrada. During this academic year 2017-2018 a pilot experience of the same characteristics has already been carried out, framed within the Green Week of the University of León, with great success of participation.
